Contribution to the business performance
I have learnt how important it is to pay as much attention to each guest as possible, foreseeing their every wish. This way one can ensure guest’s satisfaction by providing personalized, high quality service which will contribute to the business performance not only by establishing a good reputation and regularly returning clientele but also by up-selling, for example by offering a new drink when a glass is empty.
I believe I managed to perform these tasks with great attention to details and with a professional attitude. However, I do need to improve my confidence when doing check-backs so that I do not feel like I am disturbing the guests with my questions since this may give them the impression of me being confused or disorganized.
One has to make sure the guests have the impression of being welcomed and special by showing commitment and care without any signs of personal problems or bad mood. By this I have improved my competence of acting professional which will help me in the future in adapting myself to serious situations at placements and future work places.
